The 250th birthday of Ludwig van Beethoven will also be celebrated in Bonn in 2020.
With his Pastorale, Symphony no.6, Beethoven describes his relationship to nature.
His incentive was to transform impressions and feelings into music and not to reproduce the individual sounds. On World Climate Day, attention is to be drawn to climate change and musicians and artists are invited to present their interpretation of the Pastorale in Bonn. Beethoven’s mother is buried in the old cemetery in Bonn. It’s a beautiful, green, peaceful place.

Being there clearly reminds me that my time here on earth is limited.
